This form is a hybrid that grows orange-red leaves. We have bestowed the unofficial name of “Crawdaddy” in honor of the original grower (D. Crawford). The hue of the leaves is reminiscent of one of our favorite water creatures and brings us right back to carefree summer days in Oregon rivers.
This is an exclusive selection from a collection curated for decades, and we are humbled to offer it on behalf of our dear friend as she downsizes her spectacular garden. (This first release has been top-dressed with sphagnum moss that may grow other fun surprises!)

Drosera filiformis is a beautiful plant also known as the thread-leaf sundew. It unfurls long, straight leaves that will quickly attract flying insects.
This is an easy temperate sundew that will thrive in full sun. Available plants are at or near flowering size. Dormancy conditions are likely October through March.
Sundews are potted in a house mix comprised of peat moss and perlite. Other components may be present depending on species. Plants are shipped potted in 3" pots.
